Our fourth and final full day in the Faroe Islands took us into the dramatic Northern Islands, with stops at Klakkur, Svartidalurfoss, Viðareiði, Kunoy and Klaksvík. From mountain viewpoints and waterfalls to tiny villages surrounded by towering peaks, this was one of the most scenic drives of our entire trip.
Our third day in the Faroe Islands was a change of pace, taking us from the historic village of Kirkjubøur to the colourful streets and waterfront of Tórshavn. Originally planned for later in our trip, we brought this day forward because of the weather, and it turned out to be the perfect combination of history, culture, viewpoints and relaxed sightseeing.
Our second full day in the Faroe Islands took us across Vágar, where we experienced some of the most spectacular scenery of the entire trip. From the dramatic cliffs of Trælanípa and the famous lake above the ocean to Bøur, Gásadalur and the breathtaking Múlafossur waterfall, this was a day filled with incredible views, winding roads and an unforgettable experience on the water.
Our first full day in the Faroe Islands was a spectacular road trip through Streymoy and Eysturoy, taking us from the peaceful village of Saksun to Tjørnuvík, Fossá waterfall, Eiði, Funningur, Gjógv and Elduvík. It was the perfect introduction to the dramatic landscapes that make the Faroe Islands so unforgettable.
