Whenever I hear the word waterfall, I feel butterflies in my stomach, my eyes get a little bigger, my heart beats a little faster, and my smile gets a little wider… much like falling in love. I am always amazed by how beautiful a waterfall is. Really, I find it so magical and it mesmerizes me big time!
Exploring the world can take a lot of work, but thankfully for us, there are many ways to make things easier and even lower costs. However, travelling comes with its own set of trails and tribulations and as such, there are many tricks that will make your life on the road easier. With this in mind, here are some more travel tips to help you become an expert traveller.
One of my favourite things about travel is the opportunity to see new things! Sure, there’s the whole hassle of planning the actual logistics of the trip (which contrary to how that sounds, I actually enjoy), not to mention the dent that travel makes to your wallet but once these barriers are crossed, travel is one of the most exciting ways to open yourself to new things and experiences.
Most people aren’t born savvy travellers. It’s something that only comes with experience. In the beginning, you make a lot of travel mistakes. Travel savviness is a process born of missed buses, foolish behaviour, cultural unawareness, and countless tiny errors. Then, one day, you begin to seamlessly move through airports and integrate yourself into new cultures like a fish to water.
Kiev is a super cool city with lots to see. It is very old and has interesting history, delicious food, amazing cafes and restaurants, so whatever your interest is, you will definitely find something to love here. There are so many reasons to visit Kiev, from amazing architecture to interesting history and vibrant atmosphere and each of them is already a good excuse to plan your trip to the capital of Ukraine.
The weather might be grey in Reykjavik for most of the year but a walk around the city quickly reveals a world of colour – there’s a treasure trove of street art adorning building walls, underpasses, houses, and everything in between.
If you could have a wish list of natural wonders to visit in your lifetime, you may well find them all located along Iceland’s South Coast. In fact, the South Coast is one Iceland’s gems with the most dramatic and varied scenery Iceland has to offer. You can expect to encounter many of the country’s best features here, including black sand beaches, vast lava fields, majestic waterfalls, glaciers and much more!
If you’re visiting Iceland for the first time, then you definitely want to begin with what’s called the Golden Circle since it features three stunningly beautiful locations: an extremely powerful waterfall, a geyser which erupts frequently, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The best part is that you can do the whole trip in a single day and makes incredible fodder for your Instagram feed!
I am still reeling from my breathtaking trip to Iceland as I just could not seem to get enough of it. My dream is to visit every country in Europe and Iceland was basically one of the last countries I had planned to visit. However, COVID-19 changed my plans so drastically that I ended up visiting Iceland much sooner than I expected to. However, I do not regret it one bit!
Bucharest (where I spent most of my week) is totally worth visiting! Let’s be honest, it’s not the prettiest city in Europe but its culture, history and especially its people will catch your heart. For those with a passion for architecture, Bucharest is full of treasures.
