Think it’s going to be expensive? It doesn’t have to be. And often, traveling like a local makes a trip less expensive, since you’ll be avoiding all those pricey tourist-traps and gift shops.
Travelling excites your senses and opens your eyes to the beauty of the world. You learn how to stop for a while to marvel at the foreign sights and sounds. Among the things that have probably stopped you in your tracks is the beauty of different architectural structures you see for the first time.
Budapest is the capital of Hungary and is also known as ‘The Pearl of the Danube’ – a title the city rightfully carries with pride. Budapest is one of those cities that manages to take your breath away every time you visit it. Aside from the natural beauty that seeps through the city in the form of the majestic Danube River and gorgeous green spaces, the buildings themselves also add to the air of sumptuousness.
Croatia is one of the most popular Mediterranean destinations, and it’s easy to see why. It has a beautiful coastline, epic waterfalls, stunning natural landscapes and a rich history.
Zagreb is an offbeat other side of Croatia that has remarkable architectures, beautiful culture and a medieval feel. It is not as crowded as the coastline side of Croatia making it perfect for a relaxing holiday.
If you like your countries monarchic, your cities few and your mountains snowy, Andorra is the place for you. Okay, my guess is that most of you have no idea what I’m talking about unless you’re really good at European geography but this tiny country has one of the most unique histories and cultures in Europe and its magical landscape is what will stay in your memory forever.
Essaouira is one of those small towns in Morocco you hear people say how much they loved, yet you don’t get to know much about it. That is until you get there. And once there, you see why people love it!
Step into the villages of the Atlas Mountains and you’ll feel like you’re stepping back in time as you are immersed in the Morocco of the past, where traditional Berber homes are dotted across the landscape and mules are one of the main modes of transport. The scenery here is breathtaking, with snow dusting the mountain peaks in winter, wildflowers covering the valley floors in spring and incredible views in every direction.
In a country rich with history and culture, Marrakech is a city with unbelievable diversity, vibrancy, culture and a hint of Medina madness. This medieval city is filled with exotic sights, sounds and smells and if this is your first visit to Marrakech, then I want to give you some words of advice so that you too can enjoy the sights and rhythm of this 1000-year-old city much more hassle-free.
Our highlight of the day was to be Ireland’s famous Cliffs of Moher but on the way we decided to take a detour around the Ring of Dingle. You talk to anyone that’s been and they’ll likely describe Ireland’s Dingle Peninsula as one of the most stunning pieces of scenery in the world.
